China Aircraft Leasing Group orders 50 A320neo

Bringing its total order book with Airbus to 202, China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) has ordered 50 A320neo from Airbus

CALC is a value-chain aircraft solutions provider for global airlines. Its latest announcement, the purchase of 50 A320neo aircraft from Airbus, brings its total orders to 202 (with Airbus alone), a testament to the decade long relationship between Airbus and CALC. Mr. Mike Poon, CEO of CALC is quoted as saying “We are proud to augment our fleet by adding 50 in-demand A320neo jetliners that have outstanding fuel efficiency, and are reliable and comfortable. Since CALC’s inception, we have maintained a close and dynamic relationship with Airbus, and the commitment marks yet another endorsement of our mutual trust. This bulk purchase will significantly expand CALC’s fleet portfolio and further solidify our position as a full value-chain aircraft solutions provider. Currently majority of our fleet comes from direct purchase from manufacturers and that will remain the major source of our new aircraft.”

CALC is embarking on a new stage of corporate development, extending its global presence. Earlier in December, they took delivery of their first A320neo, destined for Frontier Airlines. This was also the 100th aircraft to be delivered to CALC.

The new order for 50 A320neo is valued at US$ 5.42 billion approximately.
