It’s just day one of the Farnborough Airshow in the UK and the orders are coming in fast. Qatar Airways and DHL has both placed orders for the B777F, with five and 14 aircraft respectively. Qatar Airways is the world’s third largest cargo operator, according to NewsInFlight, and operates a fleet of 13 777F, two 787-8F and eight A330F aircraft. The Qatar order is worth $1.7 billion at list prices.
The order from DHL is worth about $4.7 billion at list prices, while they have also secured options for 7 more 777F.
